Are the cherry blossoms (sakura) starting to bloom in Japan? I heard its a beautiful sight .....?

when they are all in full bloom. Can somebody describe it vividly please?Are the cherry blossoms (sakura) starting to bloom in Japan? I heard its a beautiful sight .....?
Not yet except in Okinawa. The Sakura blooms at different times depending on which part of JApan you're talking about. In Kyushu it starts mid-to-late March and in Tokyo and Kyoto region around the last week of March but it varies depending on the current weather conditions.
