When did your amaryllis bloom?

I planted my amaryllis on December 8th and it bloomed on December 22nd (exactly two weeks). This was the first time it had been planted that I know of. Unfortunately, it is no longer blooming and I don't think it will bloom again, as there are no more stalks growing.
In early summer..they are planted outside in large pots, their normal blooming time is summer..they die back in the winter and are put away so they don't get any water and get bulb rot, when new leaves sprout in the spring, they are brought out into the light, watered, fertilized and then they put on a great show..
An amaryllis is a plant that blooms after being in total darkness for a certain period of time and then is brought into the light after which it will bloom in a few weeks. It must have the dark time or it will never bloom. I love them.
Mine bloomed two weeks before Christmas. I've already cleaned the bulb and have it in the crisper of my refrigerator. I should be ready to replant in late March.
Mine bloomed last February, and they were pitiful so out they went. My Christmas cactus is blooming beautifully now though!
I don't have any amaryllis, but I have noticed a lot of blooming idiots lately.
About 15 years ago. lol Seriously, I had one about 15 yrs ago. It bloomed around around Febuary or early March. Aren't they just beautiful! I haven't had one since. It finally bit the dust.
Mine is up but no indication of blooming as yet. (coastal southern California)
mine's in the greenhouse, just put up it's bloom stem and the bud is fattening up..... just barely can see color thru the green stuff.... can't WAIT!!!

After Christmas, I love Paper Whites, I buy both every year. Poppy
